It is dark, cold, and you are alone. The stars on the sky are covered by clouds, there is nothing to reimnd you that it is God's beautiful creation. You walk through the desert. Through the valley of the shadow of death. People do not understand you, they mock and hurt you. Because you are different. Jeremiah. And the voice resounds, to which no man can withstand: "Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you". Is it possible, that the same prophetic voice, proclaimes the Lord's fearful judgement, that encourages the captives with the hope of a new life? What is our message for the world? Are we aniticipating peace at the brink of cathastrophe? Are we scaring those who would need faith and purpose? Can I put aside my personal interest in order to serve my people? Can I serve even when I know, they do not understand and listen to me? Do I have the courage to live the life, for which God called me, or do I only want to sirvive? Do I walk my way, or I just float with the current? In February, 2015 we invite all mekdsz students and inquirers into an exceptional survival camp. Igors Rautmanis, (the ex-general secretar of the lativan movement and the interim general secretar of IFES Europe) navigates us in the book of the prophet Jeremiah.
