International student mission coordinator - JOB AD

The Magyar Evangéliumi Keresztyén Diákszövetség (MEKDSz)

(Hungarian Evangelical Christian Student Fellowship) announces a

position for: international student mission coordinator


Our student movement has reached a stage when we can dedicate a new full

time position to international student ministry. As this ministry is quite new in

our movement, the new staff will play a pioneering role as we build up this

ministry. The position is announced for one year and may be extended for

another year – subject to funds and incoming donations.


Primary responsibilities:

 Maintaining a good relationship with international student groups –

including regular visits of the students’ meetings

 Supporting the flow of information between MEKDSZ office and the

international student groups

 Facilitating the foundation of new international student groups

 Fundraising

 Maintaining a good relationship with IFES and IFES staff, responsibility

for international student mission

 Providing support at MEKDSZ conferences

 Writing reports about the work done


Desired skills and experiences:

You can apply if:

 You accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and you want to be engaged in

the student mission

 You are ready to work with believers from different Christian churches

 You have been a member of a Christian church for at least 2 years

 You are familiar with and accept the confession of MEKDSZ

 You are aware that as a MEKDSZ staff member you represent MEKDSZ

towards students and your behavior influences the image of MEKDSZ

 You are flexible, willing to travel regularly

 You graduated less than 10 years ago

The ideal candidate:

 has excellent oral and written communication skills, both in English and

Hungarian

 is able to work both individually and in a team

 is able to prioritize

 has user level computer skills

 is able to work flexi-time
