Are you student in Hungary? Do you want to start the semester with other Christian students? Are you looking for challenges in your spirituality? If your answer is yes, we are looking forward to meet you at Grund!
“There are hundreds of paths up to the mountain, all leading to the same direction, so it doesn’t matter which path you take…” or does it? You may like it or not, but what is the truth? Is there a truth? Our topic is spirituality in the world, in the church and in us.

Workshop: Authentic Christian Life or Just Keeping it Real?

Is there anything less fashionable than a fundamentalist, hard-core Christian in this world?  Cannibals maybe?  But it’s not just the world that finds that Christians can be too rigid sometimes, it’s also in the church(es) too.  If you are young, cool and Christian then there is usually very little room in your life for “the too straight and too narrow”.  Good Christians these days want to be authentic, to shed the façade and be real.  That’s truly a great ambition but how does this look and what should we do/say/wear/listen to/watch/whatever, if we want to be authentic followers of Jesus and authentic people in this fallen world?  This workshop will look at all of this and ask questions like, “Can a Christian be both hip and holy?”  “Can I stand for truth and still be likeable?”  “How far is too far?”

My name is Trey Shaw and I am originally from Texas though I have lived in Budapest for the last 11 years. I am married to Denise and we have 3 kids - Bryan, Alexander and Lily. I am co-pastor of Agora Church in Budapest.
